Our Long Weekend Comes To An End

Well, it's been an eventful weekend. On Saturday we picked up Gracie which was great, because it was a day earlier than normal! During the day we did some running around and helped out some friends of ours who had car troubles. In the evening our framer came and started framing the basement. It's amazing how quickly a large space can be divided up! Sunday was a free day so we decided to venture out to the beach. Emma is still not fond of the water or the sand... but I'm sure that will change by next year! Here are some pictures of the gang having fun!

Sunday night we went to our friends house for some yummy dinner and a great visit! Today our framer came back and completed the framing stage! We are very excited to see the basement through to finishing stage now! Our permit has also been approved for the apartment and garage to be built so it will be breaking ground in a week! It will be wonderful to have it all completed that is for sure! Since the framer's were so noisy Gracie, Emma and I decided to go to a movie (not to mention a theater is a great cool escape from the scortching sun!). Gracie picked Ice Age 2, and I must admit it was pretty good! I'm glad they make cartoon movies with adult content in them now! Grandma came over for some supper and we watched our favorite show, Hell's Kitchen! Tomorrow Gracie starts her week of summer camp and can't wait for the night to pass! Can't wait for some cooler weather to come in... tomorrow is going to be a killer!
