As promised, Dustin and I went to the clinic to weigh Emma last week. She weighed a whopping 12lbs 3ozs. The nurse gave us the usual blabber about how small she is and how she should be about 4 lbs heavier than she is. She was surprised at how active and alert she was though. We have no worries as she is developing ahead of schedule and our Dr says she is bright and healthy! Emma now sits up all by herself with very occasional fall downs. She is much happier being able to see everything around her now. As for the bottles, she is taking them better every day, but we found out today she is still connected to me being the one to feed her... fought hard when Grandma tried, but as soon as I tried it was no issue. Still need to work on that! Here is a picture of Emma at 5 months, and one of Emma trying the bottle on her own!

Another update is that our garage/apartment has finally been approved! We had to make some changes, but we will live with it. We also had to rip down our deck today... well half of it. They have to dig a trench under it so it had to go. We are going to make it smaller though as it was HUGE before and now it will just be large! Plus, it gives us a little more space to give the kids something fun in the backyard! Our contractor says it should all be done in 4 months... we will see! The countdown is on...
Dustin is back to work tomorrow and Emma and I are sure going to miss him. She has really loved having the extra Daddy time this week. Next time we get Gracie back it will be school time... wow how the time flies!
