Where Does the Time Go?

Well, Halloween is over and now it's almost Christmas time!
Emma and Gracie had a blast on Halloween!!! They went to the town hall and played some games, did some crafts, and had fortunes told! After we went door to door around our house. Emma didn't really get the concept at first and walked right into people's homes! After a few houses (and a treat given to her by Daddy) she got the concept of getting candy by holding out her bucket! She got right into it, but couldn't say trick or treat so she just held up her bucket and said "More"... every once in awhile they got a please... almost always they got a thanks, and some even got a bye bye... it was pretty cute. Emma slowed down the process quite a bit with all the steps so she got carried up to everyone's steps! Between holding the pillow case of candy or holding Emma... Dustin and I got a good workout too! We didn't think Emma would last very long, but she went right to 8pm and had a smile on her face the whole time!!!
This is a picture of Emma and her buddies at the toddler Halloween party we held at our house...

Here is a picture of Gracie and Emma all ready to go out on Halloween!

Emma's costume was a lady bug...

Gracie was a witch... this picture shows how she is not a little girl anymore... she is now a young lady... ahhh! Next is a cranky teenager, haha!

On November 3 or 4th Dustin decided to bring up the Christmas decorations... Gracie and Emma helped decorating the tree and I put up the other little decorations we have. I still have some to do outside and we are debating getting lights for outside, but we think we might wait for next year on that!
The next week brought us a surprise trip to the USA... since the dollar was doing so well we thought it might be nice to get away for a few days and finish up our christmas shopping! Dustin and I headed down there late on Saturday (with a little detour as we missed a turn off)... shopped ALL day on Sunday... give Dustin a pat on the back... he was good with not much complaining for almost 8 hours!!!! We went back to a couple of places early Monday morning then it was back home! It was a nice weekend away! Thanks to Grandma for babysitting... she loved it! I am loving some of my new clothes too so it worked out for everyone!

Right now we are working on getting all the finishing done in the basement... we had some help last week and now the plumber will be back on Wednesday to finish up the basement and then just little things will be left!!!! We have a lot of touch ups to do, but maybe by Christmas it will all be done!!! No more projects to worry about! Woo hoo! Until next summer of course... when the deck and fence need to be painted...

Our goal right now is to complete the window trims and the bathroom for this coming weekend because Grandma Ginter is coming to visit!!! We are very excited for her arrival! She will only be here for a weekend, but we will make the most of it!
Otherwise, we are keeping busy and enjoying our time as a family!
