No More Travelling

Well we just got back from a quick trip to Winnipeg. Dustin's grandfather passed away so we wanted to make it out for the funeral. We left on Saturday night in hopes Emma would sleep the whole way there.... no such luck!!! Emma cried quite a bit and kept us all up all night long. It was a stressful drive to say the least. Luckily Emma had great naps the next couple of days and we took full advantage of that time too! Otherwise Emma was great... she entertained everyone and was a pretty happy child though all the events we dragged her to! The trip home was a little better, but needless to say, we won't be going on any long drives again for quite some time!

Our carpet has been installed now and the tiles will be finished tomorrow morning. Dustin has been finishing up the painting of the baseboards and doors so we hope to put most of them in this weekend too. So much work, so little time!

We were supposed to have a ball tournament this weekend, but it has been cancelled due to the awful weather (yes, we went from +20 in Winnipeg to +1 and snow in Calgary...yuck!) so we hope to take some time out of work and go somewhere fun for the girls... maybe swimming or bowling.

It was great to see everyone in Winnipeg again, it was just unfortunate for the reasoning behind the trip and that our trip was so rushed. Maybe we will see you again in the next year or two once Emma learns to sleep in the van!
