Christmas is Coming!

So it has all started, and will start to snowball soon!

We started our Christmas cheer last night at our towne hall... it was a free event put on by our neighbourhood and the kids had a blast. We started out with cookie decorating... the icing was sooooo runny that we were dripping it all over the hall after! We found out Emma doesn't like black jelly beans as those came spitting out of her mouth quite quickly (which then stained everything it hit black!) Next was the huge long line for Santa pictures... as soon as Emma saw Santa she sat there and would stop saying "Hi Santa". She seemed like she was really liking the idea of Santa.... until it was her turn to sit on his lap! She went histarical... it was rather embarrassing and funny at the same time. She wouldn't calm down for quite some time after that event! We decided it was a good idea to distract her by going on the hay ride and to see the horses. It was quite cold out, but we were sitting so close on the hay ride it wasn't too bad! It was about a 10-15 minute ride and the girls LOVED it! Emma didn't want to get too close to the horses after, but was happy to say hi. We went back into the hall to pick up the picture of Gracie with Santa, but it wasn't developed yet so we will be picking it up today. I will post it when we get it! Maybe next year Emma will be old enough to appreciate Santa... if she isn't already tormented for the rest of her life due to her bad incident with him this year!

Next is Christmas with some of my family this weekend, then Dustin's work kids party on Sunday and then Christmas with some more of my family on Sunday. Then the next weekend is another Christmas with my brother and his family, then it's Christmas with our family and a week of relaxation of play! We hope for a little bit of snow so we can go sledding some more too! Just not too much to be miserable!

Only other big change is that I will be working from home starting sometime in the next couple of weeks. Our office is moving temporarily until March 1 so my office will be shared by all of the work from home people, and we will just take turns coming in to the office once a week. I look forward to this change, especially since it is over the winter months!!! woo hoo! I can be in PJ's all day long!
